Interview With Hot Cams
Hot Cams in a new live cam program that has been in the works for a little while and was recently launched. With a focus on providing the users with plenty of hot live girls and webmasters with some great tool to use in promoting it Hot Cams is in a good position to make its name in the growing cam market. I spoke with Atom from Hot Cams about the program.
Webmaster Vault (WV): Hot Cams is a pretty new program. Can you give us a little insight in what when into bringing it to life and when/how the project started?
Hot Cams Atom (HCA): HotCams has actually been in development for the better part of 2 years. There was a lot of stuff that needed to be done and needed someone full time to manage it. I was offered a % of the program to bring it to life.
WV: How many people work for Hot Cams?
HCA: Well, there is me, 2 other owners, a designer and a programmer. That makes 5 of us.
WV: What part of the world are you located in?
HCA: Its mix really, I personally am located in a suburb of
WV: Do you have any type of interaction with the girls and their schedules, or does someone else take care of that for you?
HCA: The only interaction I have is when a girl emails me asking if she can become a webcam model. I immediately reply for nude pics then forward on her info to the correct person.
WV: Webcam programs are unlike most other programs out there since it is all live, were there any particular challenges in getting your site and program up because of this?
HCA: To be honest we are using an existing cam backend that has stood the test of time. What makes us special is that we pay competitive commissions for life, supply our own billing and constantly create unique and converting ad tools/tours.
WV: I know that you personally have been involved with
HCA: I will always be involved with Mike in one way or another. He is a good friend who I still keep in regular touch with. Right now I handle advertising on Porncity’s BBS and also deal with exit traffic on Mayors Money.
WV: What do you like most about working the adult internet biz?
HCA: The more laid back attitude of the people that are in adult. I was a contracted project manager for a large bank before I started working for Mike. I remember one time I was have a horrible day at the office and made a comment about how horseshit my day was going. This was overheard by someone in a nearby cube and about an hour later I was approached by the manager. On my way home from work that night I was then called by the company I contracted through and was given another tongue lashing. Some people belong in a bubble.
WV: What do you like least about working in the adult internet biz?
HCA: Well, now that my son is getting older/smarter he is more interested in what his old man does. Although I would never tell him what I do, I hate the fact that I have to lie to him especially since honesty is a big deal in our household.
WV: Any new projects coming down the pipe in the near future?
HCA: fact there is a huge project that we should be announcing in January or Feb at the latest. If I told you now though I would have to kill you.
WV: If you could give your affiliates any advice on how to best promote Hot Cams what would it be?
HCA: I think the best advice I can give any affiliate for any program is this. You know your traffic better than anyone else. If you have an idea that you think will do well with your site (no matter how non-traditional) try it out!
